Green profile

Since its establishment in 1994, Hausergården has been extremely focused on an environmentally conscious profile.

Paper consumption

is kept at a minimum, and the clinic solely uses recycled paper (Cyclus), or “new planting paper”, based on the replanting of cut-down trees.

This encompasses the entire paper assortment – from office stationery, bills and envelopes to meeting-time and calling cards.

Silver amalgam

is not used as a filling material.

When silver amalgam fillings are removed, we apply heavy suction and water spray to ensure the removal of all residual material and fumes, if any.

The water system will capture the silver amalgam in special amalgam filters, and the amalgam will subsequently be subjected to purification by R98 and Kommunekemi.

At the establishment in 1994, lead-protection of surgeries with X-ray equipment was avoided by way of double brick layers. We thus avoided lead- and chipboard-clad walls.

The water system for the units (dental chairs)

is subjected to filtration and ultraviolet treatment for purposes of reducing bacterial occurrences. No application of chemicals.

For surgical treatments, we use sterile saline of a balance equal to the salt balance of the body.

Instruments and drilling apparatus are sterilised in vacuum autoclaves prior to every treatment. The clinic subjects its autoclaves to daily testing and, on a monthly basis, via cultures in collaboration with the Danish State Serum Institute.
